Her books are now well loved throughout the world, and she has a loyal fan base that extends to every continent. One of her most well known books, Circle of Friends, was made into a hit movie in the 1990s, starring Chris O'Donnell and Minnie Driver.
If you will be mostly staying in Dublin, try reading Quentin's, Circle of Friends, Tara Road or Evening Class. For reads that have a countryside setting, pick up Light a Penny Candle, the Copper Beach, or the Glass Lake.
